The Blade has granted permission to the company or publisher listed above for republication of the following material(s) subject to the conditions set forth below.

Item: Blade archive headline "Escobar on run from vigilante attacks" published February 28, 1993. 
Authorized usage: 

In reference to the new media series entitled “NARCOS” (the “Series”) and the agreement between Narcos 2 Productions, LLC (“Producer”) and the The Blade relating to the use of a headline from “The Blade” newspaper clip dated 2/28/1993 of "Escobar on run from vigilante attacks” (the “Material”) in the Series. 
For good and valuable consideration, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, The Blade hereby irrevocably grants Producer, Producer’s successors, assigns and licensees the non-exclusive right to use said Material in such manner as Producer may determine in Producer’s sole discretion in the Series, and to exhibit, publicize, and otherwise utilize and exploit the Series containing the Material (and to use the Material as contained in the Series in trailers and advertising in connection with the Series), in perpetuity and throughout the universe, by any and all means and methods whether now known or hereafter created or devised, including, but not limited to, film of all widths and gauges, tapes, cassettes and discs, and in any and all media, whether now known or hereafter created or devised, including, but not limited to, theatrically, non-theatrically, by all forms of television, including, but not limited to, free, pay, toll, subscription, cable and satellite television, television devices, audio visual cassettes, cartridges and discs, and to exploit all so-called ancillary and subsidiary rights in the Series containing the Material. 
Nothing contained herein obligates Producer to exercise any of the rights, licenses or privileges granted to Producer by this letter agreement. 
The Blade represents and warrants that The Blade has the full right and authority to grant the rights herein, that use of the Material as permitted hereunder will not infringe upon or violate the rights of any party, and that no other party's permission is required. The undersigned agrees to indemnify Producer from and against all claims, damages, liability and expense arising out of any breach of any warranty or agreement made by the undersigned hereunder.


Fee: $75

Conditions for this permission:

  • Rights are not transferable to other projects or individuals without prior consent of The Blade. Materials must be used as published.  Edited or altered material must be pre-approved.
  • Must Credit: The Blade [date of original publication].
  • Fee includes obtaining materials for republication and all Blade service fees relating to republication.
  • Licensee acknowledges that some jurisdictions provide legal protection against a person’s image, likeness or property being used for commercial purposes without their consent. The Blade makes no representations or warranties as to whether or not any additional payments or fees may be due as a result of republication. Licensee shall be responsible for all additional fees and payments.
